"Gates Block Grapevines" is my submission to Postcards 2020 at the ALL Gallery.  These 10 pieces are one of a kind postcards, handprinted from the grapevines that grow in the garden where my studio is located.  Below is a picture of the collection and a few close ups.   Show has now ended - be in touch to check availability for these pieces.

RISK & JOY … WHAT A THRILL

Flavia Cigliano, reviewer for the Whistler House Museum of Art Fall / Winter Juried Members Exhibition 2019, wrote: “Pamela Wamala and Gay Tracy, two prominent artists in the Lowell arts community, both presented abstract compositions that are highly successful and a notable departure from their previous works.

Both artists clearly embraced the risk taking . . . In ‘Brooklyn Nights: Because She Said Yes,’ Wamala painted a semi-abstract urban harbor scene, with a rocky shore, an intervening waterway, then a silhouette skyline in the distance, backlit by the setting sun. The work relays the thoughtful enjoyment Wamala had in experimenting with her palette and simplified, overlapping forms.”
Pg. 18 artscope, Jan / Feb 2020

What a thrill to have my art both pictured and written about in this article by Flavia Cigliano. Her insightful words make me feel fully seen in this newest work – which did feel both risky and joyous during the creation process.

Exhibition was on view through Jan 25, 2020 at the
Whistler House Museum of Art, 243 Worthen St, Lowell, MA

Pamela Wamala on the Sage Bank billboard for their marketing campaign.

Yes! That is me on a billboard - That was a kick!

I was featured as a valued customer in Sage Bank's marketing campaign.   I also appeared on their website, flyers and various other places for several years.

This photograph was taken of me working at my easel in my studio (at the time) at the Brush Art Gallery & Studios, Lowell, MA.

To capture this image took a full day, a van load of equipment, about 10 talented people working on lighting, interviewing me, taking images, etc.  It was quite an insight into the commercial photographer's life.

A fabulous experience and fun to remember and share it with you here.

"Elder Art Initiative Program"

I started the "Elder Art Initiative"
with the incubation assistance from the Brush Art Gallery & Studios in Lowell, MA and the Lowell Cultural Council.

Two dear artist friends, Nancy Wormwood and Carol Boileau, have volunteered with the program since the beginning.

Our mission of “Fostering Peace through Creating, Sharing and Teaching Art,” led us to reach out to senior citizens in nursing homes and assisted living communities.  The art program provides life enrichment while engaging in the process of co-creating.
