"La Bella Luna Collection"
"La Bella Luna Collection" is a celebration of small moments of joy - taking in the beautiful, silvery full moon, blowing bubbles by the seaside, a family strolling hand in hand, celebratory balloon in hand, bubbles drifting across a marsh from giver to receivers
... treasured moments to cherish.
A rest from the day and respite for the soul.

"Ginkgos Dance Collection"
. . . this suite of paintings is a continued celebration of life’s simple pleasures. Gazing upward at a deliciously blue sky, we see bright yellow ginkgo leaves dance and flutter on a sweet autumn breeze.

"Brooklyn Nights Collection"
Giving voice to fresh and meaningful expressions through my art and writing is an ongoing priority. The “Brooklyn Nights Collection” is one direction of these explorations. June, 2019 brought the excitement of my youngest son and daughter in law's wedding. I was determined to keep pace with my painting practice, though the festivities would have me in Brooklyn for a week making floral arrangements and celebrating. The New York airbnb became my art studio and is where these three pieces were born.
They are together in a Private Collection.

"Joy Collection"
My granddaughter’s birth created an abundance of joy in 2019. Mason Rose entered the world in March and brought to life happy memories I shared with my 3 children when they were young. This flood of positive energy prompted me to seek a fuller understanding of joy. Ingrid Fetell Lee’s Ted Talk, research and book are valuable resources in my exploration of new symbols and meaning in my art.

"Concertina Books"
provide an opportunity to explore ideas, themes and techniques . . .
with limited supplies, while I am away from the studio. Using the few simple materials of paper, paint, brush and imagination I create the start of these books. Back in the studio I assemble and embellish these books with beads, buttons, brads and a variety of adornments.
This is my interpretation of working in a sketchbook.
Pure Pleasure!

What Is a concertina book?
A concertina booklet is an origami-looking pop-up book. It is called a concertina booklet because the folded structure resembles a concertina, which is an instrument similar to an accordion.

"52 Haiku Project"
. . . is a collection of paintings and my original haiku poems.
The art and poems are related pairings. Both are responses to nature and life experience. I have illustrated my haiku with realistic and abstract paintings to create connection between the literary
and the visual realms.
